The Center for STEM Education 

The Center matches the STEM and education resources of UNC Charlotte to the needs of the surrounding schools to improve K-12 mathematics, science, and engineering education in North Carolina.

The mission of the Center for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education is to promote a regional vision for STEM education and outreach, to increase capacity in leadership, and to facilitate collaborative partnerships for addressing STEM priorities for PreK-16.

The Makey Makey Invention Literacy Workshop for Educators is a fun hands-on learning experience where you'll learn how to teach Invention Literacy, Making, and Design Thinking using the award winning Makey Makey invention kit.

In this one day (5 hour) workshop you’ll explore how basic circuits work, use paper and pencil to create drawings that speak, build pressure sensitive switches from cardboard, and make clever inventions that solve real world problems.
