The Center for STEM Education 

The Center matches the STEM and education resources of UNC Charlotte to the needs of the surrounding schools to improve K-12 mathematics, science, and engineering education in North Carolina.

The mission of the Center for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education is to promote a regional vision for STEM education and outreach, to increase capacity in leadership, and to facilitate collaborative partnerships for addressing STEM priorities for PreK-16.

 NASA/NC Space Grant STEM Pre-Service Teacher Scholarship Program

Our NASA/NC Space Grant STEM Pre-Service Teacher Scholarship program is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 academic year.  This competitive program will award up to 12 students with a $4,000 scholarship; scholars will engage in NASA Digital Badge learning and travel to NASA Langley Research Center in Spring 2020.  Students from the following majors are eligible to apply: elementary education, special education, middle and high school STEM content majors.  The deadline to apply is October 7, 2019.Click here for eFlyer.
