The Center for STEM Education 

The Center matches the STEM and education resources of UNC Charlotte to the needs of the surrounding schools to improve K-12 mathematics, science, and engineering education in North Carolina.

The mission of the Center for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education is to promote a regional vision for STEM education and outreach, to increase capacity in leadership, and to facilitate collaborative partnerships for addressing STEM priorities for PreK-16.

NSTA is hosting a regional conference Energize Science: Educate and Engage in Charlotte November 29, 30 and December 1, 2019 to be held at the Charlotte Covention Center

The Annual K-12 STEM Conference at UNC Charlotte will be held again January 2020.  Plan to attend NSTA Charlotte. Information below.

The Southwest Education Alliance and the Center for STEM Education are partnering to partially sponsor 80 educators' registration ($100) from the greater Charlotte region including Cabarrus, Charlotte-Mecklenburg, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell-Statesville, Kannapolis City, Lincoln, Mooresville Graded, Rowan-Salisbury, Stanly and Union Counties.  Sign up here to receive $100 towards the NSTA Charlotte registration cost.  You must show proof of NSTA registration to recieve the reimbursement and reimbursements are on a first come basis.
