North Carolina Student Academy of Science (NCSAS) is an organization for students in grades 6-12 in alliance with the North Carolina Academy of Science (NCAS).
Students can prepare research projects as an individual or as a team of 2-3 students. Students can conduct research in any appropriate area of science, technology or mathematics and then prepare their written reports.
To compete, students must submit their entry forms by February 23, 2021 and upload a pdf of her/his paper following the specified file naming requirement. Please include student name(s), title of paper and 2021NCSAS as part of the file name. Instructions for paper here.
Students must have their paper certified by a District Co-Director before the student can advance to the state competition.
The objectives of NCSAS are 1) to promote the study of science, technology, and mathematics, 2) to assist students to pursue careers in science and technology, and 3) to encourage students to use their talents for improvement of themselves, their schools, and their communities.
